Annualisable Conservation Capital
Announced is not disbursed. Figures are the headline amount most commonly cited, qualified per row. The total counts only single-country African transactions that have closed. Multi-region fund sizes, sovereign debt-relief figures and planned pipeline deals are listed for context and excluded from the total. Full rules in the methodology note.
How this differs from C-FIN. “Capital counted” is the headline size of counted instruments. C-FIN counts only a documented annualised conservation slice against annual protected-area need, so the two totals measure different things and are not comparable.
Capital by instrument category
Countries are ranked by the announced capital this tracker can attribute to them. A deal naming two or more countries with no published split is credited to no single country and shown on the portfolio line, never divided between them. Absence here is ledger coverage, not proof that a country has no nature finance.
